Second SMAU Innovation Award for one of our clients

The Award

For the second consecutive year, a RIEDL Phasys client wins the SMAU Innovation award. At the Milan trade fair, Re Roberto S.p.A., a Sicilian company leading in pharmaceutical distribution with 35 employees and €70 million in revenue, received the prestigious recognition in the Healthcare Emerging Technologies sector.

The collaboration

Since 2015, Re Roberto has collaborated with the Gpi Group for the implementation of an automated RIEDL Phasys warehouse. Over the years, the system has been optimized with an innovative transport system, consisting of a dual-opening buffer (Dual Side Buffer), which has doubled the picking capacity, increasing it from to items in just 4 hours, improving efficiency without increasing personnel costs.

 

This development led to revenue growth in 2023, with a forecast for 2024, exceeding industry averages. Stefano Re, Technical Director of Re Roberto, emphasizes the importance of innovation in ensuring punctual deliveries to pharmacies in western Sicily.

 

Massimiliano Rossi, Director of ASA Automation at Gpi Group, celebrates the result: ‘This award is the result of intense and shared work, which fills us with pride.’ Last year, the award was presented to Farmacia Redi in Arco (TN), another success story branded RIEDL Phasys.
